This 6 segment tapered leader works well for early season, high water fishing with a 5 or 6 weight rod. The heavy butt section makes it to turn over great, even when throwing weighted nymph rigs and large flies like streamers. It comes in a 10 foot length and 4X tippet. Segments are connected via blood knots, with a perfection loop at the butt end for easy attachment to your fly line. The butt section is crafted from 30lb (0.022in) Maxima Chameleon. Although Chameleon is red, it’s formulated to change color and become invisible by absorbing light rather than reflecting it beneath the water’s surface. It is harder and stiffer, ensuring a smoother transition from your fly line to your leader. The tippet sections are made from Maxima Ultragreen, which blends naturally into the surrounding water, making it virtually invisible to fish.
